A list of deleted threads

Sarcelle · 26/12/2019 10:27

I would really appreciate a list of deleted threads so that I know not to waste time looking for one. I was following a thread yesterday that seems to have disappeared. Normally you can click on one and it says thread deleted etc but can't find this one.

Could you not have a permanent thread on Site stuff so you can have a quick check rather than trying to become Sherlock and find out what happened to it.

What happened to the one about the husband buying jewellery, but not for the wife?

Sarcelle · 26/12/2019 10:38

That was the one I was looking for. Zapped into the ether, but a list of them would stop us wasting time looking for them.

Let this not be a thread about talking about a thread otherwise they will zap this too. This is a practical suggestion which I hope MN will give consideration to. All it needs is title, no need to add reason.

If you’re watching it you get to see the deletion message, don’t you?

velvetnose · 26/12/2019 10:43

The one about jewellery doesn't even have a deletion message, I was watching that and it has just disappeared

WellErrr · 26/12/2019 10:44

Jewellery one does have a deletion message - OP identified in RL. Hope she’s ok Flowers

Allthecandles · 26/12/2019 10:45

Said it was deleted because the op was identified in real life. Hope she’s ok.

QueenOfTheFae · 26/12/2019 10:47

You get the deletion message if you post on the thread, which is why a lot of people post "following"

For example, the jewellery one

thread deleted
Message from MNHQ: We've deleted this thread as the OP had been identified in real life.

AnneKipanki · 26/12/2019 10:50

I saw the jewellery one earlier in the day and read a lot of it . No idea how she could be identified from what I read .
Earlier in the year when a poster's cat was sprayed with dettol... definitely more identifying .

AnneKipanki · 26/12/2019 10:51

Anyway, thoughts are with the OP regardless.

benandhollyagaaain · 26/12/2019 10:53

And the viagra found in car has disappeared. I haven't seen any deleted message for either of these threads

EveHolt · 26/12/2019 10:53

If you want to follow what happens on a thread, click on "watch this thread" at the top. No need to post as a placemark.
Then go to "threads I'm watching" and you can see them all, including any deletion message.

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 26/12/2019 10:54

This has been suggested in the past but, IIRC, MNHQ said it would serve as a kind of "troll hall of fame".

pinkpanther84 · 26/12/2019 10:55

I'm on the app and have no deletion message for the jewellery thread, it's just vanished from my watching list

PineappleExpress · 26/12/2019 10:55

I was watching the jewellery and viagra threads and I still can't see them or a deletion message

BloggersBlog · 26/12/2019 10:56

@annakipanki I thought the same. The only thing she said was it wasn't Pandora!! Someone must be a real Poirot to identify her in rl from her scant details

margotsdevil · 26/12/2019 10:58

This has been raised before about deletion messages. I'm on the app and was watching the jewellery thread and it's just vanished - no deletion message. MNHQ said they'd fixed that and deletion messages should always appear - but they definitely don't.

coconuttelegraph · 26/12/2019 10:59

That's odd, the Viagra one had a deletion message earlier but now it seems to have gone.

It was the one that said they were looking into it behind the scenes

velvetnose · 26/12/2019 10:59

I think she was identified by the OW!
"Yes I got a non-pandora jewellery item delivered from my married boyfriend who uses gmail on Friday..." Wink

coconuttelegraph · 26/12/2019 11:02

No, I'm wrong, the Viagra deletion message is still there, I'd posted a few times rather than had it on watch though

Sarcelle · 26/12/2019 11:18

I am aware of the concept of watching etc, and use that facility. But a thread I have watched recently has disappeared without a deletion message, and that is not the first time it happened. Hence starting this thread.

Melstarrynight · 26/12/2019 11:25

I was watching both those threads on the app and both have disappeared this morning. No deletion messages here 🙁

WellErrr · 26/12/2019 11:47

If I just watch a thread I never see the deletion message, they just disappear. Only see it if I’ve posted.

TurduckenFucken · 26/12/2019 13:57

Hmm, I use the mobile site, not the app, I wonder if there’s a difference when it comes to watched threads and deletion messages.
