Mumsnet Black Friday ad - Android mobile issue

The Mumsnet Black Friday ad blocks the top of my page and also causes the blue link icons at the bottom of the page to become inactive.

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S9 with Android v9, viewing in Chrome

Is it just me? Phone updated last night

Not just you, OP - also on Android.

On a positive note, it's so irritating and intrusive, and damaging to normal site functionality, it's meant it's been easier for me to step away from MN than normal

Just came on here to post the same. I have several opened tabs with the Black Friday deals thread. Very annoying, certainly doesn’t make me more likely to use the mumsnet deals!
Same with the pushing of the app - that constantly is taking up space on my screem.

Me too.

My main issue is the fact that it overlaps the >Talk>Chat menu at the top - making it difficult to press it without inadvertently being taken to the page being advertised.

Android tablet with Chrome.

MN presumably think it is successful as so many have clicked on it to go to the page. Not realising that 99% have pressed it accidentally due to fat fingers and not even looked at the page.
