Site so slow and unresponsive tonight and the My Mumsnet button is not working - so I can't change my name back, access messages or log out!

Just as it says on the tin above. This is both on a laptop and tablet on mobile and desktop versions.

What gives? Am I eternally bound to roam the pages with my Hallowe'en name?!

Help me, or I might have to put my teeth back in and start flexing them....

The emoji button isn't working either, though I can just about live without those...

I've managed to change my name back by the back door, so to speak. I followed a link on the help questions page which took me directly to my account bypassing the button. It's still not working and I can't do anything else like log out.

It's like MN has reinvented the era of modem speeds

BBInGinDrinking · 09/11/2019 06:19

I know. Still the same too. Coming soon: carrier pigeons.

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 09/11/2019 13:33

Arrgh - sorry folks, this sounds really annoying. Before we break out the pigeons, could you let us know what browsers and operating system you're using. We'll look into this for you ASAP.

Annoying slow tonight too. I'm on Safari - gave up altogether on Chrome. Took 20 seconds to open up "Site Stuff".

Hi,

Just popping in to see if anyone is still having a problem with the site? Smile

BBInGinDrinking · 13/11/2019 18:38

Seems a bit better and my button is now working again - not a euphemism - thank you. MNHQ, you are spoiling us.....you've obviously thrown the pigeons a handful of corn. Wink

Spoke too soon about speed and responsiveness. That little circle is spending so much time spinning around and Mumsnet Is Not Responding is up repeatedly. At least the frustration means I'm off to do what I actually should be doing!

FlissMumsnet · 14/11/2019 14:57

BBInGinDrinking - at least you're getting some real life work done!...silver linings and all that!

BBInGinDrinking · 14/11/2019 18:44

Yes, too true, and let's not forget every silver lining has a cloud, IME!
