How do you make sure you don't miss any replies when you can only view the last 40 threads? Have posted more than that in the last 3 days.

Selectivity. Restraint. Making wise choices.....

snowwonder · 15/08/2007 18:43

do you mean the last 40 threads you posted on?

Spidermama · 15/08/2007 18:43

I see it as a sort of control mechanism which prevents any addictive MNing from spiralling. In theoryt.

NotADragonOfSoup · 15/08/2007 18:44

If I reach 40 I stop posting on new threads until it's below. Unless what I have to say is really important.

Desiderata · 15/08/2007 18:44

Well, it's probably a good thing. There are load of replies which, in the cold light of day, I'm not sure I want to hear

OliviaMumsnet · 15/08/2007 18:53

Sorry, I don't know what you mean about 40 threads?

fryalot · 15/08/2007 18:54

you could do a search of postings by your name and put in the date range that you want....

NAB3 · 15/08/2007 18:54

sorry, the last 40 threads I have posted on.

(Olivia - when you click on "threads I'm on" if you have posted on more than 40 in the last three days, it only gives you the last 40)

bagpuss · 15/08/2007 19:11

Blimey, when I reach 15 I think I've had a good day [lightweight emoticon]

Quootiepie · 15/08/2007 19:15

cor, those were the days...

OliviaMumsnet · 15/08/2007 19:45

Aha I see what you mean now

Yes, I would advise what squonk says for now. But we're hoping to make this kind of thing easier.
