Idea for new section

Can we please have somewhere that people can post details of something they've forgotten and others can then help identify it (what's the name of this book/film/song etc)? These are quite common threads and it would be fun to have them all in one place for MN users to browse and see if they can solve old unsolved queries. If there was some way to amend thread titles to indicate when the answer has been found would be really useful too and help with browsing for unsolved question to read.

That's s great idea, I love those threads, especially when the op just gives a few words from a song, then a sort of explanation or a bit of da de da. Then many suggestions and all of a sudden a poster finds the song.
Not sure how engaging a rant one would be. I can see the attraction but if all the poster wants to do is rant, why would anyone answer.

Also a thread about where you can get long discontinued things that have either silently come back or are available elsewhere from where one lives.

You could call it the 'CRS Central section'. CRS for 'can't remember shit'. Or 'stuff' if you prefer.
