Replying on a trending thread

Hi! I'm trying to reply to a post which is at the top of "trending now" and my username and the message box are not showing below where it says "Add your message here". Is this because so many others are responding at the same time so not everyone can type their message? It's only happening to me for this one particular thread.

Can we ask what device and browser you're using? Are you able to take a screenshot of the issue for us at all?

Hi, LilyMumsnet - thank you so much for replying. I have tried on a Macbook Pro OS10.13.6 in Safari, Chrome and Firefox and on my ipad ios11 in both Chrome browser and MN app, to no avail. It is oddly only on the Bereavement threads it is happening to me.
Here is a screen shot. Normally, below the "Add your message here" line in blue, there is a box with my username, then a box for my message, then somewhere to upload images, preview and post message and then below that emoticons and more. As you can see from the screenshot, there is nothing between the blue "Add your message here" line and the blue block of MN links at the bottom of the page.
