Can't start a new thread in certain topics as I can't add a topic

I tried to start a thread in Travel Advice but no topic is selected and when I click to select a topic it just takes me back to the list of threads in that topic. Any advice?

Obviously not having that problem in this topic!

so you clicked on Travel Advice, which is on the Travel board?
there was nothing at the top of the topic saying "Start a new thread within this topic" or, on the Mobile site, click on the down arrow and "Add thread" ?

will report this to HQ and hope they can help

Thanks for flagging this, and sorry it's taken us a while to get back to you. Could you please let us know which device you're using, and whether it's on the app, the mobile site or the desktop site?

On the app. I go to the topic. Click the plus button then the pencil. The topic now says 'site stuff' I click on it to change it and it just takes me back to the list of topics and I start again. Just going round in circles.
