MN causing internet to crash

Last couple of weeks if I've been on Mumsnet I've had the internet crashing multiple times. Not freezing, but just shutting down the tab (s).

Having just looked on task manager, Mumsnet is taking large amounts of memory and CPU.

I am on Safari on a fairly newish iMac and am getting the spinning ball of slowness and pages delaying opening, not happening on other websites

I always have this problem on my iPad. Literally all the time.
