How do you look up a poster?

People seem to be able to see very quickly what a poster has poster before. How do they do this?

Search function

Advance search the posters ID.

Copy and paste username into the username bit on the search function.

This is probably a very silly question, but can you get the advanced search on a phone? I can't see it

I've done that but then when I click on the user's post, it goes to the first page of the thread.

Is there any way to go to the posts directly as trawling through long threads is a pain, particularly if that poster posted multiple times on it.

Press the search button at the bottom of the screen.

Press search by keyword,

Type in user name in the box for Search posts by Username

Copy the username.
Click on search (bottom right on clicky bar)
Paste username into search user box and search.
It’ll come up with the users posting history.

As you will see from this thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3155720-Advanced-Search- we have been asking for this to be fixed for a long time but it seems beyond the capability of the 'Tech Team' and they obviously prefer to spend their time on new shiny stuff which few people want like voting on AIBU.

I can't even copy the poster's. Are and certainly have no search button at the bottom of the page

My screen shots are of the mobile version on the website and every version of the mobile site that I have seen has the navigation bar at the bottom of the page as shown in my photo.

Which mobile browser are you using?

Or are you on the app?

To copy and paste the username you just hi-light the word as you would any text on on your phone.
If you can’t do that just make a note of it and type it manually into the search box.
