Ads on the app

I'm using the app on iPhone & have had problems with the ads today. If I'm scrolling quickly through a thread (to only read OP's posts) this ad pops up & fills the screen. I've never had this with other ads. Anyone else?

Me!! It's really annoying and springs from nowhere .

Me too and I can’t close it without closing the browser. It appears in every thread and makes the site unusable.

Me too but if you tap on the advert when it's in its larger form, a cross appears in the top left and you can tap that to make it go away. I agree that it is beyond annoying though!

Hey everyone, thanks for raising this - we're looking into it now. This iOS app ads are usually pretty bullet-proof, so this is unexpected.

I did comment on another thread at the weekend and this is still happening.
Also noticed that my clock, battery level indicator and mobile details have disappeared from the display at the top of my screen. Not sure if this is related?

The battery level indicator etc are not connected. They are operating system properties and nothing to do with MN.

Yesterday I was getting those ads too, I thought it was a new feature to make sure we noticed them while scrolling through quickly.
I also lost battery/clock/signal etc bar while using the app, but it is back today.

I’m still getting the ads, and they are totally irrelevant to me - a property development 100s of miles from where I live. MN, please get rid !
