Just come across two episodes of posts of mine being removed. I can vaguely remember one (but don't remember being excessively awkward) and have no idea about the other, but can guess what I'd have said and other similar posts remain in situ.

It would be helpful to email people and tell them how they'd transgressed, otherwise they'll carry on in ignorance.

Hi @LaMarschallin. We take your point about emails but unfortunately, if we emailed folk every single time we deleted a post, we'd never get anything else done!

We did send you a mail earlier today, which should have explained the most recent deletions.

But if you get in touch directly on [email protected], we can hopefully sort out it all out with a quick chat.

I must give the baby her bottle is a pretty usual thing to say though.

Surely it could be automated Hmm The post is manually deleted so why can't that also trigger an email to the posters registered email address saying your post on thread was deleted for breaking talk guidelines

I agree deleting posts without telling the poster is pretty poor form, especially as they may well go on and do it again not realising a post had been deleted.

Gah! Please ignore that.

(Although I can be tapping away like a demented woodpecker to see a "Preview"; just then, a mistimed swipe put in my last copy)

Anyway. Thank you. Actually, I'm really impressed as I didn't think you'd even look at some randomer whinging.

I'll go back and check my emails (also think I've done something nuts because I'm not getting email updates from threads on which I've posted).

If I still can't see the problem, I'll get in touch. Purely from the point of view of not wanting to be obnoxious on a - to me - newish messageboard.

We wanted to have a word as we've been getting reports about your posts on Mumsnet, most recently on this thread, where we've had to remove several for breaking our Talk Guidelines.

I've found this email.
Which references a thread about people who have paid for economy tickets using business/first class toilets.

One post I made was removed.
Another post of mine was removed on a different thread. Not sure, but I think it was an unpopular opinions one.

Guess I was asking for that!
But it didn't seem different from lots of other posts on that thread.

You say you've been getting reports about my posts on MN. That seems really odd as I usually post on light-hearted threads.

Or is that another generic message?

Well, you haven't so far.

And I did tell you via email that I was anxious, given I'd had a stalker previously.

"Lily" you haven't read my emails.
Are you some weird MNbot?

If you send me some vague nonsense again I will put it out on some site or other.

Best wishes, Madeupname
