hello MNHQ

I'm very confused this evening

this thread was deleted as a TAAT

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3628795-Deletion-of-thread-about-Safe-Schools-Alliance

however I can see that these two TAATs were left up and in fact MNHQ responded on them

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3627899-Deletion-of-the-trans-skater-thread

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3627897-AIBU-thread-just-deleted

Confused

it would be really helpful if you could clarify?

I don't think this is a TAAT, it's more asking for clarification on the rules

If a deletion message states that posters should contact MNHQ off the boards, how does one do that MNHQ? I thought that was what site stuff was for (but evidently am wrong).

Interested in this too...

GColdtimer · 04/07/2019 11:25

Yes I am interested too.

It looks like MN have not only deleted the thread it looks like they have banned SSAUK too. I tried to message the account from my account and was told it was unavailable. I asked why and was told:

Thanks for getting in touch.
If you wish to contact Safe Schools Alliance, you can find contact details on their website: safeschoolsallianceuk.net/.

We don't allow advertising and promotion on Mumsnet, so it's best to contact them off the boards.

Best wishes
Lily MNHQ

MN have not been in touch with SSAUK by email to discuss the deletion or the ban.

Why does MN want to stop their members accessing content that would help them ensure the safety, privacy and dignity of children.

I'm even more Confused now

what about this excellent thread:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3459232-We-Cant-Consent-to-This-all-the-sex-game-gone-wrong-defences

this was a brilliant grassroots campaign publicising itself via FWR in exactly the same way as SSA, and MNHQ seemed to be (rightly imo) fine with it

or is it only websites that get complained about by the people who monitor FWR to practice coercive control over contributors there that get restricted in this way?

"or is it only websites that get complained about by the people who monitor FWR to practice coercive control over contributors there that get restricted in this way?"

Just about sums it up.

Didn't 'Let Toys Be Toys' start on MN?
