Pop up every few seconds

Pic attached of the advert which keeps popping up and covering my screen. Sometimes it's as often as every few seconds and is making the site unusable.
I'm based in France hence the French advert.
What can I do to stop it. It's only on Mumsnet not other sites.

Thanks so much for raising this - we're going to look into it.

Please could you let us know what device and browser you're using?
Would you possibly be able to grab the URL of the advert? You can do this by turning off wifi, clicking the ad and then copying the link - that way, it won't direct you to the Ad but we'll still have the link.

Lastly, can you let us know where on the site that this is happening?

Thanks. Just as suddenly as it started (and lasted 3 days) it seems to have stopped. I'll give you the above info if it happens again.

I’m getting exactly the same problem and I’m also in France. I posted a few weeks back about this but it wasn’t resolved, and now I can’t find the post.

Any ideas MN? Is this a french problem? The pop ups went away but have come back : different ads, same company, same problem.

Using Safari on iPad. So far it’s only happened on the Feminism Chat board, but that may be because I was reading that board more.

I'm having a similar issue and the link feels scammy. It purports to be from my internet provider but it's all "answer questions to win prizes" and it's poorly written so I don't buy it. It happens on Safari on Ipad and Iphone. It blocks the site completely, so I haven't been able to update on my threads all morning (desperate). I'm on the computer now, also Safari, and it hasn't happened.

I googled and found a “fix” which has worked for me.

Safari has to be up and running, maybe with several tabs open. I then turn on airplane mode. Go back to safari, close all tabs. Go to settings, go to safari setting and clear cookies and browser history. Then turn off airplane mode.

This has cleared the problem for me.

Any thoughts on the french pop ups? Still happening, same company just different location as I’m on holiday just now!

Was on chrome safari

Found going via firebox stops the ads and slow typing

But the original problem still seems to exist :(

I’m getting the same problem right now on my iPhone - Safari browser. It wasn’t happening the past I’ve been in France, totally new 6 min ago.

Annoyingly, I just cleared all my data and lost all my tabs like suggested above and the problem still persists.

If I go via safari then get ads

I gave up on mn solving this and installed an adblocker. No problems since.
