Why has MN turned into a giant advertisement?

Were the previous ads not enough? Now there's two huge box ads after every first post and every last post as well as the banner at the top of every page. Looks pretty awful to be honest!

Yep, adblocker makes it usable again. Ads are a vital revenue stream and that’s understandable, Justine doesn’t really like ‘freeloaders’, but if the site is rendered ridiculous by invasive ads then they are going to get blocked.

I wouldn’t mind but I literally get the same advert on every thread, it’s stupid.
