Aibu - pets and wailing daughter.

Very odd and unsettling.

Yes I agree I have reported it.i don’t think anyone with an a child with asd would have written the post in the tone it written

Bluerussian · 23/06/2019 03:34

I've just read that thread (I presume you mean the one concerning the chicken), and responded to it; I took it at face value. It didn't seem all that odd to me, just very human. I could be wrong of course.

ElizabethMainwaring · 23/06/2019 03:59

The worst thing about it is posters calling the op a dick and a bitch.

NiteWotcha · 23/06/2019 04:02

I'll take another look - I can hide personal attacks

And I'll report the whole thread to HQ

Thanks for the heads up Smile

Also just FYI you can post in the Night Watch topic about dodgy threads etc

i don’t think anyone with an a child with asd would have written the post in the tone it written There are many reasons why a parent would write such a post. If you read all her posts, she is getting no help at home, and it sounds like she doesn't know what to do/where to turn.

Initially I was angry with her too. She has made mistakes, and struggling. No, she isn't talking favorably about her daughter, but she needs help, not deleting/bashing. Her daughter's chicken was killed, and it is not hard to see that she feels the same about her pets as her daughter does her chicken.

Reading between the lines she is struggling herself. She doesn't seem to understand her daughter's autism, as she is on here instead of helping her daughter navigate her feelings.

Well, the thread has been deleted. I don't know why, the poor woman was at the end of her tether and just wanted to vent plus - maybe - advice from people qualified to give it.

LilyMumsnet · 23/06/2019 15:37

Hi all

We sorted it - apols for the late response.

Graphista · 23/06/2019 17:48

@Bluerussian Exactly! I hope she comes back if she needs further support.

ElizabethMainwaring · 24/06/2019 18:34

Op was being offered support towards the end of the thread. Prior to that she had a load of disgusting abuse. I'm glad that it has gone. Op, from now on post on the SEN boards.
