good idea!

RBH · 22/07/2007 09:05

It would be great and would save me having loads of threads with good recipes in cluttering up my watched list! (Do keep meaning to write them down but then get distracted by another thread!)

AbbyMumsnet · 22/07/2007 11:15

Would be great, I agree.

cookieMOMster · 25/07/2007 22:53

yes please!!

sammac · 25/07/2007 23:07

I've got loads of recipes from here saved in a file that I'd be happy to pass on to hq if that saves some work. Have filtered out all chat etc. Am slowly working through them all- last night made chicken korma from it. All very good so far!

You chaps are just psychic . Was just talking to tech yesterday about resurrecting the recipes section but in the style of reviews, so you can post a recipe and then as folks try it they can rate it, add to it, make suggestions etc. We've done quite a lot of the work already it just needs reformatting and Tech the wizzard is on to it, so we'll keep you up to date. We agree we could do a fantastic Mumsnet recipes book and this could be the first step. Sammac you are just what we need and have been hoping for - please keep a hold of all those recipes and let us know when the time comes if you're happy to add them or would like us to do it.

All excited now - not least because I might get some new ideas to add to my unimaginative mealtime repertoire

TheMuppetMuggle · 26/07/2007 22:48

I'd def buy a MN book

sammac · 26/07/2007 22:49

No prblem, although I think my file is now about 50 pages- I've been busy! Just let me know what to do!

Browny · 04/09/2007 22:35

Is there any news on the MN cookbook yet? .

Carmenere · 04/09/2007 22:40

If you do actually want to publish a cook book, I have tested and edited cookbooks in the past and would be interested in working on this.

AbbyMumsnet · 05/09/2007 11:17

Thanks for the offer - I'll let the rest of the team know about it.

TheMuppetMuggle · 05/09/2007 11:21

biglips · 08/09/2007 21:39

Budababe · 08/09/2007 21:50

DH picked up the Netmums book in a shop here in Budapest the other day and said "I assume you want this?" I was HORRIFIED. I had to explain the difference between Netmums and us and he was totally bemused.

slim22 · 09/09/2007 13:47

fab idea

Scootergrrrl · 09/09/2007 13:52

Like Carman, I've been involved in checking recipes and editing them for publication in the past and I'd also be very happy to help (as long as I get a free copy signed by Justine, Carrie, Rachel, Tech and co when it comes out )
