Email every time someone replies to a thread I'm on

Make it stop! Grin

I can't see where I have asked that every time someone replies to a thread I've either started or am on, I get an email notification.

It's clogging up my inbox.

I check my Watched threads for that.

Ta.

Me too! I went to settings and my profile I see nowhere to turn it off. I wouldn’t have signed up for these notifications voluntarily!!

I think you can switch off notifications but don’t know how. I only get emails when someone puts @myusername in the post.

Hello!

To customise email notifications, you need to go to Talk (the purple tab below our logo on the top left) if you click on this, you'll see 'Talk: customise'. Under 'Talk options', right at the bottom, you'll see 'Notify me when others post on threads I'm watching' followed by a tickbox.

Uncheck the tickbox next to 'Automatically watch: threads I watch' and also uncheck the tickbox next to 'Notify me when others post on threads I'm watching:' and you should stop receiving bothersome email notifications.

Thanks, I will look at that when I'm on the PC next!

Hi OP

You definitely shouldn't be receiving notification emails after unchecking the box. Can you triple check that it's saving once you've unchecked?

If it definitely is, please email us at [email protected] and we'll do our best to put a stop to it as quickly as possible.

Thanks, Lily, I'll check when I'm on my PC hopefully sometime tomorrow.
