Hooray it's raining again and I don't have to water the garden. Also hooray just had my council tax reassessed and am getting a £7k refund. Now that'll buy a few bars of chocolate!

jj i had my gas and electric bill in this week and i had overpaid by £202.37 on my gas (est. reading last time) and my leccy bill was £220.38 so i transferred it over. ive only paid out £18 so the money ive saved for the bills is mine (not told DP though)

I got a job today

It's only an as and when needed adminny type job at my DH's surgery, but I'm really excited. It's been 3 and a half years since I had an income. Yay, my own spending money!

Hooray because my v bulky Slalom Pro arrived safely by courier to divamumplusump AND marmitemad came to collect my Maclaren, so I am £160 richer in total AND made some space in my garage. Hooray Hooray. Oh, and I have my 12 week scan for twins in 1.5 hours, but I can't hooray that until later [nervous emoticon].

Only a cautious hooray for now though, will be back (hopefully) with a massive hooray later! Really nervous...

I always wanted twins, then after DS decided that they would be a bit much for me, so stopped wanting them. Then I got them, so maybe if you stop wanting them you will get some too!!!

Sorry, in my own preoccupied world, forgot to say congrats to Slubber on the new job, and to everyone else's great money saving etc news!

Today is truly a good day. Scan was fab, two babies looking good, low risk for Downs

AND

We have just had an offer on our house (we are letting it out) at asking price.

Hey the weather can't dampen our spirits on this thread. Oh no.

DH and I are going to Chumondeley Castle for the outside concert and fireworks tomorrow. It's going to be great. (sense the overpowering optomism here). I think I will be dispatching DH to go and buy some large golf umbrellas though.

me too - I got a job this week too, so I've spent the last two days frantically tyring to sort it all out before school shuts for the summer today!

although the 7k council tax refund and twins definately trumps my job!

Slubber I read your post as "DH and I are going buy to Chumondeley Castle...". I then wondered why on earth you had bothered to get a new job if you had the money to buy a castle . Still, visiting will be fab too.

House offer has fallen through, but wont dampen my spirits.

Lucycat well done on the job too! What a fab day today. Sorry though WMMC for the water damage. Must be a nightmare .
