Text size on app

Is there any way to enlarge the text size on the Talk app? I am struggling with reduced vision at the moment and have started to use the app as it is generally clearer than the main website, but I cannot find a way to enlarge the text. I am using an iPad. Any suggestions?

We'll ask our tech team if they have any suggestions

ShannonRockallMalin Forgive me if you've already done this, but have you tried adjusting the text size in the display and brightness section in settings on your iPad? Some apps don't always work, but I think Mumsnet is one of the ones that does. Ignore me if you've already tried this! Smile

Thank you! I have got the iPad settings adjusted but unfortunately this doesn't seem to have any effect on the MM app or website. It's bizarre, it make some sites enormous and others just stay the same!

I thought you would have done, but worth an ask.
Isn't it strange how it works on some apps/websites? My daughter often finds this on her phone too.

@ShannonRockallMalin have you got some good reading glasses . I have poor vision too but it helps so much .

ShannonRockallMalin · 28/04/2019 22:42

@mrsgandy I wear glasses all the time anyway. I've developed a condition called optic neuritis and have lost the vision in one eye, hopefully temporarily, but it's making it impossible to read normal text size Sad

Hi @ShannonRockallMalin - we're sorry to hear it's difficult to use!

Just to confirm, have you tried switching on the 'larger text' feature in Settings > General > Accessibility > Larger Text?

The app should look as it does in the screenshot below (but on iPad). Let me know if it helps!

@Itis6oclocksomewhere for apps, support for larger text sizes has to be manually added, so that's why not every app supports it.
