Emailing deletions?

Hi

I have recently had a comment deleted (and when rereading the guidelines fully understand why and am duly very sorry)

However the guidelines also say you get emailed when deleted, and I wasn't.

Is this still the case? (Not trying to cause extra work for mods, just unsure how you would otherwise know if a comment had been deleted pages ago.)

Thanks

They don't anymore.
They appear to have a new mod policy recently.

Ah okay thanks, the guidelines probably need to be updated then.

I probably rarely even post at all three times within the rolling six week period for it to be an issue for me, but it may be for others who could do with a prompt to perhaps re-edit a bit before posting.

But it has also made me really think more about how posts out of context look too and I'll either be posting more thoughtfully or less.

Mods have a hard enough job, just would rather know!

Hi there OP,

Thanks for getting in touch. It sounds like you're referring specifically to our trans guidelines? We're sorry you didn't receive an email. We do try to do send them when possible, but we don't quite manage it every time.

Well I got an email today and I found the overall tone incredibly patronising, and one of the paragraphs was unintelligible (I got the general gist but it was so badly mistyped that I couldn't tell exactly what it meant) so you're not missing much Wink

Yesterday I posted on the Eddie Izzard thread and my message was deleted.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3577718-Eddy-Izzard-says-women-should-be-forced-to-share-bathrooms-with-men?msgid=86841445

I know this sounds stupid but I cannot for the life of me remember what I said, so reading the Talk Guidelines again isn't going to help.

If someone could PM me to remind me what got me into trouble I would very grateful!
