Can you pick up personal messages on the app?

Can't see where you would pick up direct messages on the app, is it possible? Can't remember my password for the laptop version and although I've tried to reset it, when I try to use the new password it says it's incorrect. I've had an email saying I've a message but can't get to it

Thank you @AnyaMumsnet . I reset my password via the link I was sent but new pw then isn't accepted
