Adverts at end of threads

So I've been getting these nuisance calls to my mobile from various far flung places which ring a couple of times and then ring off.

Just got one while on Mumsnet phone app. Go back to the thread I was reading and this advert is at the end of the thread
Coincidence?

We would assume that this is a coincidence and nothing to worry about! Did you happen to google who called me, or maybe how to block calls? No worries if not, it might explain the well-timed ad is all.

No I didn't google today. I googled a couple of weeks ago when it happened first and started a chat thread about it. It's just because it says at the bottom of the advert "find out more" and wondered what might happen if I did. I didn't do it.

The ads at the bottom of threads these days are quite strange.
