Can we have a PARP button, please?

So if that if you PARP a thread and then try and go back and post on it, a box pops up saying "Uh uh, you have parped, go and post somewhere else". And then if you try and namechange to post, another box comes up saying "Do you think we're idiots, we know it's you"... I would find that useful

Marina · 11/07/2007 21:07

Oh, yes please
And can it be associated with some posters' names as well, to save us all form banging our heads against the firewall?

LittleLupin · 11/07/2007 21:08

whats a PARP?

LittleLupin · 11/07/2007 21:09

If you write PARP, it means "that's it, I have said my piece, I'm off" and then you're supposed to leave the thread but I never quite manage it .

I always hear it as a farting noise in my head!

thanks LL...great name btw!

do i have to be to PARP?

Marina · 11/07/2007 21:11

It's the noise the pinkyponk makes according to Red Bee Media's subtitles...

Marina · 11/07/2007 21:11

with a healthy dose of usually

EscapeFrom · 11/07/2007 21:12

It's when you find yourself stabbing the keyboards really hard while muttering to yourself, and end up posting inadvisably.

Really, you shoudl have a little alarm that sounds 'Parp!', as a warning to yourself that you will not be reasonable on this subject, will lose your temper, get sucked in, and be sat up at 1.30 am with a cold cup of tea, obsessively clicking 'refresh'.

RubySlippers · 11/07/2007 21:12

LL - i think i know a thread that needs an extra huge parp right about now
the OP has been wibbling on for nearly 12 hours now on and off

talcytrelawny · 11/07/2007 21:12

lol

LittleLupin · 11/07/2007 21:12

Oh yes, a noise as well is an excellent idea!

OP posts:
RubySlippers · 11/07/2007 21:14

and sound effects - a little siren noise and possible a voice over saying

LittleLupin · 11/07/2007 21:14

This is classic, you need sound on

peanutbear · 11/07/2007 21:50

I always here it as a doh noise strnge but I always carry on lurking (nosey emotion)

winestein · 11/07/2007 21:52

Oh I am so glad I clicked this link - absolutely PMSL at the idea of the PARP button with strings attached

LittleLupin · 12/07/2007 13:34

OK, I really need this... or just for Tech to come round and sit on my laptop

MadEyemarthamooDy · 12/07/2007 13:37

Yes, I could do with a little warning box that says...

"Leave it!"

MarsLady · 12/07/2007 13:38

Don't scare the poor wee thing honeysuckle sugar lamb!

MadEyemarthamooDy · 12/07/2007 13:38

I have an idea we're even thinking of the same thread here, LL.

Rearrange these words into a sentence..

brick a banging wall head against

LittleLupin · 12/07/2007 13:42

I know, I know.... someone go on and post "." 200 times to get rid of it!

OP posts:
MadEyemarthamooDy · 12/07/2007 13:44

I have a better idea...I'm going to go out

Now, where are my galoshes...and my sou'wester...and my waterproof gaiters...and my umbrella...

winestein · 12/07/2007 13:56

No, leave it Lapin - tis funny (I know, I know, I have an odd sense of humour)

LittleLupin · 12/07/2007 13:56

... and your boat...

OP posts:
LittleLupin · 12/07/2007 13:57
