Why move some things and not other things

Have you noticed your policy of moving threads is inconsistent. I posted a thread yesterday re the petition for EU citizens being able to vote in any future referendum. It was immediately moved to petitions where noone goes rather than the recently rather busy Brexit board. This petition is Brexit related.

Why move this petition? You haven't moved others.

We have a blanket policy with petitions. Any petitions posted will be moved to the petitions topic (same with surveys and the NFP topic).

Otherwise, the boards would fill up with surveys and petitions and everybody would want to share their own - we think it'd disrupt the flow of talk and impact on peer to peer discussion.

Hope that makes sense. A lot of times, topics can cross over and so we don't always move stuff to a more fitting topic. But petitions and surveys will, when reported, always be moved.
