I know there are loads of posts and several threads about this but I'm not sure MNHQ really get what the problem is or how bloody frustrating it is.

It's just mumsnet, no other site or app.

It's very slow to react to touch screen requests.

Nothing happens on screen as one types then I can watch the buttons on the keyboard move as it attempts to put onto the screen what I have typed. There are mistakes every time as everything fails to work together. Then as you attempt to position the curser in the middle of a word or sentence to delete and correct it takes ages to accept the request then deletes four words instead of two letters.

I've given up posting mostly. I type in notes then have to cut and paste.

It's annoying. Been going on for weeks. Needs fixing.

Can we please ask what device you're using and whether you're using the app, the mobile site or the desktop site?

If you're using the mobile or desktop site, can we also ask which browser you're using?

Can we ask how old your iPad is and what version of iOS you're using? Let us know if you need a hand with figuring this out.

My iPad is about three years old. I don't know what iOS is.

I had this. I can only assume it's something to do with which iOS you are on/ age of iPad as it immediately stopped happening when I bought a new iPad.

Not everyone having this problem is using a three year old iPad…

Plus it's just this site.

I'm having the same issue. It began for me when the ads changed to ones that auto played and would change after so much time to a new ad. My devices memory simply cannot handle it. Other sites don't have the rotating ads usually it's just one playing when the page is open, not them playing on a loop. It's also using up a lot of my mobile data.

It now takes several seconds for every letter to register. I started posting this message last month…

iOS is the apple operating software which they periodically update - things eventually stop being compatible with old iOS that people should've updated but haven't.

A browser means what you use to browse the internet (chrome, safari or Firefox etc).

I've never had issues on my mobile, maybe it's just tablets?

I delete history. Do updates promptly. Nothing helps

I agree image functionality is appallingly bad on iOS on any device. You cannot zoom in, it goes bizarrely huge and off to one side.

Then if you have viewed an image, you cannot swipe back a page, it simply won't have it, just freezes.

I use the app on an ipad and it's fine.
Use safari if I need to PM or do a search, not noticed any problems.

I get this on my iPad. Only on MN though.

My iPad is about 3 years old, no issues with anything else.
