Mumsnet site suggestions

I hope this doesn't come off as obnoxious, but here are some things I feel could really improve the user experience for posters and lurkers on Mumsnet alike:

  1. Provide posters with the ability to quote each other directly, with all previous quotes being threaded in a collapsable/expandable box

This facilitates ease of reply and allows readers to follow ongoing mini-debates/conversations within a thread without having to scroll through pages looking for specific quotes that were lifted from posts.

  1. Rich text editor with the option to switch to markdown for forum "old-schoolers"

Minor issue, to be fair, but I feel like a WYSIWYG type of editor could be really useful to posters who sometimes struggle with bolds, underlines, italics, strikethroughs, and links especially.

  1. Advance search result leading to the post itself instead of post 1 of a thread

More of a bug than an outright suggestion. Currently, on threads that go on for more than a page, clicking on any result in advanced search typically leads straight to the original post instead of the searched post. This usually occurs for anything that appears on page 2 and beyond.

Thanks and full props to the Mumsnet team for everything they have done for this site!

P.S. What happened to the dropdown menu that allowed us to select from our previous usernames? Was a really nifty feature!
