I hope this doesn't come off as obnoxious, but here are some things I feel could really improve the user experience for posters and lurkers on Mumsnet alike:
- Provide posters with the ability to quote each other directly, with all previous quotes being threaded in a collapsable/expandable box
This facilitates ease of reply and allows readers to follow ongoing mini-debates/conversations within a thread without having to scroll through pages looking for specific quotes that were lifted from posts.
- Rich text editor with the option to switch to markdown for forum "old-schoolers"
Minor issue, to be fair, but I feel like a WYSIWYG type of editor could be really useful to posters who sometimes struggle with bolds, underlines, italics, strikethroughs, and links especially.
- Advance search result leading to the post itself instead of post 1 of a thread
More of a bug than an outright suggestion. Currently, on threads that go on for more than a page, clicking on any result in advanced search typically leads straight to the original post instead of the searched post. This usually occurs for anything that appears on page 2 and beyond.

P.S. What happened to the dropdown menu that allowed us to select from our previous usernames? Was a really nifty feature!
