This has freaked me out a little.
It’s literally written word for word and not by me!

Can you link? How freaky

SecretNutellaFix · 26/02/2019 17:43

They'll have copy/ pasted.

You need to contact NetMums and tell them, if necessary enclose a screenshot of your post from here with time and date as proof yours was posted first.

And request that they remove the post.

SurgeHopper · 26/02/2019 17:44

How odd

Darkbaptism · 26/02/2019 17:45

What was it about? Some people are so odd!

WarpedGalaxy · 26/02/2019 17:53

What? Bizarre behaviour. Actually the idea of people going around forums stealing posts to pass off as their own on other forums I'm finding pretty funny.

Can you post on the NM thread and ask the copycat OP why she stole your post? I would.

KitNCaboodle · 26/02/2019 17:55

How odd! Why on earth would someone do that?

calsovip · 26/02/2019 19:20

Contact Netmums and see if they'll remove it. As to why someone would steal and subsequently repost something, sometimes it's for likes or internet karma points, sometimes it's because someone wants to see replies to a specific situation on a different platform and can't be bothered to paraphrase, sometimes some people just want to watch the world burn.

Desmondo2016 · 26/02/2019 19:22

How weird!? Was it a personal post about your family/life or a more informative, generic post?

ColeHawlins · 26/02/2019 19:23

That really is weird behaviour.

Is it something personal?

ColeHawlins · 26/02/2019 19:23

X post Grin

Takethebuscuitandthesink · 26/02/2019 21:33

That’s very creepy. Was the thread about a sensitive subject if so contact netmums. If not set up a netmums account and expose them publicly!

AnyaMumsnet · 27/02/2019 11:22

Hi there OP,

Thanks for letting us know about this. Unfortunately as it's on Netmums, there's not much we can do about it but we'd suggest you contact Netmums - they should be able to take the post down for you.
