Desktop site on Chrome not working properly

I click on various parts of the site and nothing happens - my Mumsnet and trending just seem like dead buttons because nothing happens. But if I click on advanced search or active discussions those buttons work fine.

I can't post or preview - am having to post this on my mobile!

Please help!

Cleared cache and cookies and I now can't sign in at all!! Screenshot of error message to follow

This is what I get after entering my email address and pressing next on the sign in page on my desktop.

Just tried again. Same error. Having to post from phone because cannot do it from my Chromebook.

OK have managed to fix it.

Turned out that clearing my cache and cookies reactivated Javascript being blocked from running on MN. Have now re-enabled it and I can sign in and all of the buttons are working again.
