How do I delete private messages?

Although I wasn't affected by the breach I'd like to delete my messages as one includes my address (a lady kindly posted something to me) but can't find a delete option anywhere, am I being blind or can you not do it on a phone?

Go into the message and click the trash can

Thanks, I was being blind but in my defence it really doesn't look like a trash can on my phone!
