Another ad choices head scratcher

The ad choices adverts are supposed to be somehow loosely connected to what I've searched for or what the internet 'knows' about me.

Please explain this one?

We're really sorry about this - we have now blocked all dating ads, so it should be gone for good. They can sometimes slip through though, so do let us know if they're back. We've alerted our Ad team to this instance.

Fab. I did have a rather awkward conversation with DH who swears he only ever uses my phone to check football scores...Grin

And they're back! I'm 40 in a few days and DO NOT look like this. Hmm

And I thought it was bad getting Giles Coren smugging at me from the top banner.

Personally, I get tonnes of ads for pregnancy related stuff including scan pics etc etc.

I'm about to have a op that will probably result in hysterectomy. Yay.

I’ve found if I accidental brush near an advert it constantly opening up, on the rare occasion I want to view an advert can’t get it to open!

GrandmaSharksDentures · 30/12/2018 09:12

Yep, these ads have been appearing for a few days. @MNHQ keep saying they have blocked them but I'm still seeing misogynistic adverts for prostitutes.

OlennasWimple · 30/12/2018 09:16

I just reported one (by clicking the "Hide this advert" button on the ad) that was supposedly for eBay but featured a poster of a buxom mermaid kneeling forward and a slogan saying "Better when wet" Hmm

Hey guys, thanks for reporting these dodgy ads. We've found and blocked all of the ads you've reported, please post any others you find.

We've recently been trying a different source of ads on Talk iOS, 99.9% of the ads have been fine, with some glaring exceptions! If for some reason we aren't able to clear up these kinds of ads in the future, we will return to the more reliable ad source.

As always, your feedback is really helpful, thank you!
