Another board for other Holidays?

So I've loved the Christmas board and I will probably hang out there all year. But can we have another board for like all other holidays? New Years, Valentines, Easter, Passover, and any other holidays that come up? There are a lot of them and I'd love to chat about different holiday stuff with other MNers

Thanks for getting in touch, and for the suggestion.

Whilst we understand where you're coming from, there are an awful lot of holidays when we think of all the religions, cultures and different belief systems of Mumsnetters - so we do think this'd be a bit difficult to execute.

However you're always welcome to start a thread in Chat when a holiday you're particularly excited for is coming up.

We hope this makes sense, but do get back to us if you have any more questions.

I see what you mean, couldn't we have a generic holidays topic and include Christmas? Sort of like an evolution of the Christmas topic?

I don't think that using the word 'holidays' will work too well - given that this is a UK based website! The word 'holidays' may well be a word commonly used in North America and Canada, but it's not commonly used in other parts of the world and could cause confusion - people might think it's all about 'vacations'

Yeah what abbsisspartacus they get me! LOL I wasn't meaning a separate board for each Holiday but like one in general where all can be discussed.

You could call it 'celebrations' - then it could encompass personal celebrations as well, such as birthdays.

Celebrations is a tub of sweeties though.....

I did think of 'festivals' but then I thought that would be mistaken for Glastonbury et al.

What we really need is a Board for Traffic, to be used by all those who at present use AIBU, (although their threads have no element of unreasonableness at all), because they are just hoping for a quick response.

I thought that's what Chat is supposed to be for, Ada?!
