It's driving me potty

Never noticed it before so it must be new

It is new. They are blocked from playing by my net nanny but the screen keeps jumping to the little black box regardless.

Very annoying.

AdaColeman · 18/12/2018 15:27

Yes, they are driving me mad! So distracting, especially when I am trying to type.

AdaColeman · 18/12/2018 15:30

Is the blonde woman in the cream jumper trying to teach us semaphore?

KatyMac · 18/12/2018 15:32

I can't stand it

electronics? midwifery? who cares make it go away

Yes, me too KatyMac, I'm looking out for them just so I can turn them off as quickly as possible.

MNHQ, I don't want to see this stuff (and - fyi - as a midwife the 'birth is gross' one is particularly stupid and irritating)

Agree that autoplay with sound is a real turn-off. What are you thinking??

Please take them off the site.

chickensaresafehere · 18/12/2018 15:48

Driving me potty too!!
Anyone got any advice on how to turn it off?!

KatyMac · 18/12/2018 15:50

& the whole count down from 10 before it starts - I am spending more tuime on waiting to turn ot off than reading the bloody threads

So annoyed

UnnecessaryFennel · 18/12/2018 15:54

I've managed to mute them on my laptop but they also make the page jump/stick as they're counting down to play.

Really, really irritating.

pancaketosser · 18/12/2018 15:57

The more annoying thing is that it says if I click play I'm agreeing to something (tracking I'd guess). But as I never actually click it, surely I'm not agreeing?

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 18/12/2018 15:58

I have my desktop set to show the mobile site. Far fewer ads.

GrumpyOldMare · 18/12/2018 16:05

So irritating,it's all I can see out of the corner of my eye.

This^^^^ They still play without being clicked on.Surely that's not on,if they're ''planting'' cookies of some description on our pcs/laptops etc

dontcallmelen · 18/12/2018 16:09

Does anyone else, keep finding the threads jumping about? Every time I scroll down the page, it keeps jumping onto the adverts it’s driving me nuts.

pancaketosser · 18/12/2018 16:22

My mouse wheel is broken, so I sometimes scroll using the arrow keys, and I think pressing a button triggers the sound on, as they are sometimes muted but not always.

GrumpyOldMare · 18/12/2018 16:34

Just to say,I don't ''agree to tracking tools by daily motion'' or whoever they are.

Can they please be made to not play automatically if we HAVE to have them.Thank you.

AnyaMumsnet · 18/12/2018 17:12

Hi there everyone,

We're really sorry about this, it sounds like it's been really annoying. It should be sorted now.

Do let us know if it continues.

AdaColeman · 18/12/2018 19:22

That's a huge improvement Anya thanks so much! Gin Gin Gin

KatyMac · 18/12/2018 19:27
