Emojis not working for me

Despite typing on my iPhone an emoji from the Mumsnet bank of emojis it doesn't post it in my posts.
Why ?

Hi @beanaseireann, have you got the most recent version of the app? You can check here - we had an issue like this previously that was fixed.

If you have the most recent version, do any mumsnet emoticons appear?
