May I ask why the thread opened by the (perhaps Belgian?) poster who was in pain and was distressed after a hospital stay was deleted?

The message just said that HQ thought the thread was not doing anyone any favours (or words to that effect).

Fine if HQ thought that the top was not genuine in some way.

I may be naieve but I thought the op was in distress. I agree that some of the responses were less than helpful. But if we are going to be genuinely more evolved in our attitudes towards people with mh issues, surely their threads shouldn't just be eliminated from the site? Beside which, some of the advice she received on there was useful.

Does hq contact the poster when this happens? Or are they just confronted with a blank page where their thread used to be? If a poster is reaching out for help, surely that could be damaging?
