I keep getting redirected to some random site!
Doesn’t happen with every click, but almost everything I click on.

Happening yesterday eve, still happening. Android chrome on Samsung mobile, browsing via active conversations. Very annoying, closing mumsnet now.

MagentaRocks · 17/10/2018 05:41

Same for me, safari on iPad. Started on this site now it is happening on other sites. Very annoying. Can’t do much on the iPad because of it. Going to turn it off and back on and see if that helps.

emwithme · 17/10/2018 06:25

Happened to me on this thread!

Android (Samsung) using Chrome

Angrybird345 · 17/10/2018 06:28

Apple, iPhone 7. Really annoying! Come on Mumsnet, fix this!!

Brideslave · 17/10/2018 06:30

Those on apple - have you run the latest update? Seems to have fixed mine

MagentaRocks · 17/10/2018 07:18

Turning off and on didn’t work. Will have to try the update. Very annoying.

MagentaRocks · 17/10/2018 07:49

Update hasn’t worked. MN has broke my iPad 😢

iPhone 6 Plus, Safari

TammySwanson · 17/10/2018 08:56

If you clear your cookies and cache in your browser then go back in it will fix it temporarily until you see that weird Q2 ad that IWantMyHatBack has the screenshot of above again. Then it's game over, man, and you have to clear your cache and cookies to fix it.

It's obviously being served up by the ad server so if you can block ads it will go away permanently (If you are on your phone or tablet I'd suggest using the Opera browser - no ads ever again, if you are on laptop it's easier to install a dedicated ad-blocker on whatever browser you are using). Anything else is just a temporary fix until it gets removed from the ad server (which would be Mumsnet's job).

Yep still happening, safari iPad, update done

boatyardblues · 17/10/2018 09:05

Even bookmarking threads is redirecting me. Safari on an iPhone.

user1471518636 · 17/10/2018 09:05

Still happening here too, in fact it happened as I tried to type this 🙄

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 17/10/2018 09:16

Yesterday and today, iPad, safari. OS updated. Random threads from Active.

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 17/10/2018 09:22

Started yesterday & still happening this morning.

AnyaMumsnet · 17/10/2018 09:22

Hi everyone,

Tech are still working on this, we hope to have it sorted asap.

gamerchick · 17/10/2018 09:22

Started happening to me on Safari.

SunshineP · 17/10/2018 09:24

Just happened to me. I’ve won an iPad apparently. I was only trying to look at the AIBU section.

Gonegrey31 · 17/10/2018 09:24

Its happening to me at the moment, using Safari on an iPad.

bringbackthestripes · 17/10/2018 09:25

I thought it was just me! Thank god they are working on it, it’s been driving me nuts.

safariboot · 17/10/2018 09:28

I've been experiencing it here and similar on Reddit. Chrome on Android Nougat.

Possible my phone's been compromised, but I reckon it's just fraudulent ads. It shouldn't even be possible. Just a reminder of how rotten the state of web advertising is.

BrokenWing · 17/10/2018 09:41

Still happening here too. I've got 5 Congratulations tabs open just getting here to post this. Original one then, one clicking on topics, one clicking on Mumsnet stuff, one clicking on site stuff, one clicking on this thread. It's just constant ☹️
