muting other posters?

There are some posters on MN I really would rather not see anymore posts from. Is there an ability to mute them? I would like to enjoy MN without insults or conspiracy theories.

It has been asked for a lot. So far it's been a no, it would be useful but for now just not acknowledging is the way to go.

I have been on here a few months, but I haven't come across it yet.
