Seen the message at the top of the page? I can see it now, mums all over the land reaching for their anti-depressants and voddie bottles, frantically searching the TV guide, desperate to know how they will fill the void tonight! Is tech going to count down hour by hour?

I am finding this a bit alarmist

pmsl

I reckon the last few minutes they will be playing the final coundown

wobblyknicks · 25/08/2004 10:14

same here anorak - would it be better not to know, trying to work that one out?? Its like would you want to know when the end of the world was (ok, going a bit OTT there!)

anorak · 25/08/2004 10:17

Have you seen sophable's OUTRAGE thread

Dh finds it most amusing. Little does he know that I will spend those 2-3 hours raving like a lunatic without my 'fix'...... So no change there then...

Kayleigh · 25/08/2004 10:18

Dh is going to wonder what has happened to me if I'm not on mumsnet when he gets home. I was very worried when I saw a posting saying downtime was scheduled for afternoon as I thought I might have to do some work. Luckily mumsnet won't go down till I leave the office.

Bet MSN will be busy tonight !!

wobblyknicks · 25/08/2004 10:19

yep kayleigh - but what about the poor little mites like ct who haven't got msn??? Will they be official refugees until MN comes back??

coppertop · 25/08/2004 10:21

Yes, remember us poor hard-done-by souls with no MSN to get us through.

Cadbury · 25/08/2004 10:22

How can you get MSN? And can it gt sorted by this evening. I don't want to do my ironing. Please help

Fio2 · 25/08/2004 10:22

coppertop I would go onto msn and start downloading it now!

wobblyknicks · 25/08/2004 10:22

cads - you can get msn pretty quick if you go now - easiest way is google for it, you could have found it before I posted a link.

wobblyknicks · 25/08/2004 10:23

fio - she can't - her antique pc won't have it - poor little love!!!

Fio2 · 25/08/2004 10:26

poor ct {{{{{{{{}}}}}}}

coppertop · 25/08/2004 10:27

Yes, it's a bit beyond my steam-powered contraption's capabilities. Dh's computer would be perfect but he's very protective of it, the poor love.

wobblyknicks · 25/08/2004 10:36

How are you doing cads?? Getting it??

Fio2 · 25/08/2004 10:37

oh i live with one of those CT, my husbands laptop is his too, idiot

Cadbury · 25/08/2004 10:42

Got it. Oooo how exciting. You know you are a real adict when you ignore your childs very smelly bottom to get msn running! So now, how do I get contacts?

wobblyknicks · 25/08/2004 10:45

Cadbury - have just started a bar for that - am well ahead of you!!!

anorak · 25/08/2004 11:03

Cadbury · 25/08/2004 11:05

Right, that's it. I'm digging myself a fall out shelter and stockpiling water, wine and borbon biscuits!

Fio2 · 25/08/2004 11:05

seeing as we are meeting each other tommorrow, I cant beleive i am actually going to meet a mumsnetter in person for the first time! [simle]

Blu · 25/08/2004 11:08

Is it covered in the Government's emergency booklet????

wobblyknicks · 25/08/2004 13:08

PMSL Blu - see the booklet IS useless in a real crisis!!!!

Bunglie · 25/08/2004 13:30

Ah so you do have use for your little pressie WK

coppertop · 25/08/2004 13:32

Is this the famous autographed pressie I heard about? Hope the ink doesn't run!
