Bits of screen missing

I'm not entirely sure how to explain this but sometimes, not always, when scrolling large sections of the screen to white. It's looks like a gap where something should have popped up, except nothing is there (and nothing should be popping up. It's been happening infrequently for a couple of weeks and only on mumsnet, typically when scrolling. Any idea what could be causing this? And is it happening to anyone else?

Also, and probably unrelated, but I often have to double click when I would normally only single click. Is this just because I'm using the desktop site on a tablet?

I'm using the desktop site on Amazon fire tablet, on chrome.

I've been getting this too but black sections across the screen and then the posts have jumped about. I'm on chrome mobile on a samsung s7
