Pop up adverts?

Whilst browsing the desktop site on my phone I had a pop up advert for some mobile game, I couldn't close it for 5 seconds. Are these new? Or was it a glitch? Or is it my phone? It's really loud and I nearly shit myself.

It happened again whilst I was typing this so I got a screenshot.

I'm getting this too but it's always the dyson ad. No possibility of getting the url. I can just flick it away (iPhone) but it's annoying!

Grab an adblocker app. Sorry MN, but shitty adverts are so prevalent it's easy to spend more time dealing with adverts than reading threads here/generally browsing the web.

I don't get pop ups but on the ipad there are banner ads every few posts on a thread. Makes the thread take longer to load and are so distracting.
Also they seem to know I'm not in UK cos they are in Greek!

Pisses me off.

I already have an ad blocker I think 🤔
