if when you go on there people are asking for help with small children.
This has always confused me.
Not having a dig but if I post on there I want help from people with teens.

Well said 2shoes...

2shoes · 12/06/2007 15:42

think I will go in the baby bit and ask advice on a 15yr old

perhaps it could be one of 2 things. 1)Peeps don't see its in the teens section. 2) Peeps feel that they have experience of teens in another capacity (teachers and youth workers etc) so feel they can contribute.

Not having seen the post you're referring to I can't answer directly but they're my guesses- being a secondary teacher I would comment on a thread about teens even though i don't have one of my own i have plenty of experience.

stleger · 12/06/2007 15:46

There is hardly any teen stuff, I agree.

Pixiefish · 12/06/2007 15:48

just seen what I think you're talking about 2shoes. Was the OP asking about a child that wasn't a teenager- is that what you meant. If so I retract my previous post

Carmenere · 12/06/2007 15:49

What are you lot talking about? ALL the first fifteen(I stopped counting) threads in the teenager section are about teenagers??

Pixiefish · 12/06/2007 15:52

There's one about an 8 year old- I think that's the one she's talking about

Pixiefish · 12/06/2007 15:53

The first thread in the teenagers section

Carmenere · 12/06/2007 15:57

Yes I saw that but she was essentially asking if anyone has experience of a loner child growing into an introverted teen. It was a bit clumsily phrased but she was asking advice from parents of teens, I thought anyway.

Blandmum · 12/06/2007 15:59

I think that sometimes people put things in the wrong place. No big deal.

2shoes · 12/06/2007 16:13

i was talking about one post in particular.

I suppose we have learned to sigh a lot and get over a lot. Perhaps a 'mothers of teens' advice section would be good training for us as we edge towards becoming mils?

2shoes · 13/06/2007 12:10

omg my post was meant to say
i was NOT talking about one post in particular
i must preview
