can't post on Mumsnet local?

I am trying to make an OP on the mumsnet local board for my area, but when I type in my message, and type my city in the relevant field, I type my message and go to 'create conversation' but then it says 'No places found - please search for valid place or use your current location'.

My local area does have a board, so what on Earth am I doing wrong?

I seem to have solved this by switching browser to Internet Explorer - weird!

Just so we can try and figure out what's going wrong, which browser were you using before?

It was Chrome.

Still can't post from app (ipad) on Local. Text disappears as usual when click [Post] but post never shows on the thread.

I am having the same problems as above. I wanted to post for info on Shrewsbury - put Shrewsbury in the box and I am informed that this area is not known.

I always have trouble with Mumsnet posts - don't know why - I've given up!!
