This is not an attack on MNHQ, you are always lovely in emails and the like and I do realise it’s a tricky job judging when to step in on a thread.
However, I have twice now noticed threads where an OP is not a ‘typical’ mnetter shall we say, in difficult circumstances, have gone poof, and the OP has been urged to seek rl support.
Now that is all well and good but I am just worried that we are pulling the rug under from people a bit. I was a young clueless mum and honestly some of the BEST advice I have had is online where other mums (and non parents, teachers and nursery nurses and healthcare professionals) can help and give you pointers. And I include MN in that, I’m grateful for MN and I honestly feel I am a better parent and perhaps person for it.
Shouldn’t everyone be able to access that, regardless of education and background? I know it became something of a bun fight but helpful posts were there. Does it really take so long to delete arsey posts (and I’m not being an arse, just asking.)
Thanks!
