Good morning Mumsnet
There was a very good thread about the homophobic compering at the Manchester Pride event which has been taken down with the following message:
Message from MNHQ: We think the wording in the OP post is a bit much - so we're going to take the thread down now.
Do you mean the wording of the title, or the wording of the first post? If it's the wording of the title, couldn't you just change it, and leave the thread up, I believe you've done that a lot in the past where the wording of the title has been a bit florid but you understand that the subject itself is important for women to be able to discuss.
It's crucially important that on Mumsnet, women be allowed to discuss the climate of misogyny that leads to male violence against us and the outright misogyny, ageism and lesbophobia of a compere on stage at a Pride event, the one event where a lesbian woman should feel safe, is incredibly disturbing and I think women will probably want to discuss it.
Also some of us want to report the compere for hate speak and incitement to violence and the details we need to do so, are on that thread.
If it's just the title that was worded badly, could you kindly reinstate the thread with different wording? Thanks in advance.
