logging in: you mean i have to remember my NAME??

i remember the good ol' days when i could log in using my email address. whatever name i happened to be using at the time would come up. easy peasy lemon squeezy.

now i actually have to know my name to login? how the hell am i supposed to remember if i'm purplemonkeydishwasher or tarquinsmum or butterscotchpuddingpants?? AND do you have any idea how annoyng it is to type purplemonkeydishwasher??

I'm trying to log ion and can't
I got a password reminder and I am doing it right but cant log in

I fill in the name and password press log in and it just clears the boxes

But TR you are logged in, or you wouldn't be able to post

right sqounk but I want to look at my registration and you have to log in on that page to look and it wont let me grrrr

Coupla tings:

We took away the email as we noticed people were having issues where they'd log in by putting the nickname in the email field or vice versa and then get very cross when they didn't get logged in...... Hmm. We'll put it back though I think maybe.

Trinityrhino you raise a good point in that you now need to put your nickname on talk to log in, but your email on "my mumsnet". This is not consistent and not good.

We'll try standardize.......

I want to be able to log in with my email if I can. My email never changes - but my MN name does 'occassionally'
