Poems Section?

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have a Poems section. Don't laugh, listen!
In the SN world there are a lot of "inspirational" poems around. However, I find them rather distressing and don't want to come across them in the day-to-day threads but don't want to prevent someone who might like them from seeing them. My idea is that we could post a separate conversation per poem with the title of the poem and (SN) in brackets. There would also be other poems, such as ones for teachers, nannies, grandparents etc so it wouldn't just be SN.
I'd be happy to start it off if it appears as I've got lots of these poems and don't mind spending a bit of time posting them.

I have one but it's one i did myself for college.
It's depressing though, as it's about when our house got repossessed.

Perhaps a bit too depresing.

I have a habit of telling people about it cos i got a good mark for it and the teacher read it out.
Thinking about it i may have already put it on here somewhere.

We're in the process of reordering the Talk Topics at the moment. Would this go in creative writing? or do folks think it needs a separate section?

Oooer, there's a creative writing section? Never noticed! I'm thinking of non-original poems just passed on. Would, of course, make an exception for Nutty's scorcher! So don't know. As long as people know its there and I'm not sure they would it it was part of CW but a section called "Poems" wouldn't tell anyone much either. Maybe Inspirational Poems (although I don't find them so!)

I don't like inspirational poems either, but I am a cynical old bag, devoid of all emotion.

ditto lou! which is wht I'd like themomewhere but not near me, I find some distressing but most are just puke-making. Bring on the vulgar ones, don't want to avoid those!

Like the idea of a poems section, either copying over good poems or contributing our own work, I've got a few of both category that I would share - not sure where they should go in terms of section though.

I think a poems section is a good idea. Then if people feel they want to share one with someone or its appropriate they could link to that section. That way you won't have to read Welcome to Holland a gadzillion times davros .
