Planned maintenance

Please note that the whole mumsnet website will be offline for two to three hours in the afternoon on Monday August 23rd. This is so that we can carry out essential maintenance on the servers. We'll try to keep the downtime to a minimum and will most likely do it after the lunchtime rush.....

We are probably going to postpone this until later in the week as some of the parts we need haven't arrived yet. I'll post and let you know when it will be.

As you may see from the somewhat obtrusive message above, we are planning to do this work tomorrow afternoon. We need to do some work on the server to replace a couple of components and also to increase capacity - ie make it go faster.

Hope youse can manage without us for a couple of hours. Mid-afternoon is a quiet time we thought.

DAMN, that is when I will nee it most.

I am taking DD to a birthday party in the morning and will probably need a break when I get back in.

I suppose I will just have to get on with tidying my bedroom then.
