Deleted threads and Trending

Please, when you delete a thread, could you also delete the subject/headline from Trending (or Discussion of the Day)?

It's really irritating to click on the link to find it's been deleted!

I think it stays on trending because of the amount of clicks it gets. So it's a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy - it stays on trending so people keep clicking and round it goes...

The comedian thread was about ava vidal and personally don't think it should be deleted, but the link taken out
