There have been some interesting threads in Chat recently by people offering answers on their own expert fields.
Couldn't there be a separate section for these?

That's a good idea. the crematorium AMA was really interesting and the OP handled it so well.

Here we go again

Any time there's one unusual thread, which then spawns loads of "me too" kind of threads, then we get requests to MNHQ for yet another new topic, which will then sink into obscurity - like many others - in a few weeks time. Especially since anyone wanting to start an 'AMA' thread, will probably only do it in Chat or AIBU - they won't even think of looking for an AMA topic!

Let the AMAs have their fun for the moment, but I doubt MNHQ have much time to think about setting up another new topic.

After all, they should have their hands full trying to sort out the constant, multiple and very irritating, glitches right now Hmm

Plus it's a Saturday evening, so MNHQ won't even see this until some point on Monday - if you're lucky!

BeyondRaggydoll · 30/06/2018 18:56

Maybe we could have a "fad of the moment" topic, and any time a new one starts all of the threads could be moved there? Wink

EveningHare · 30/06/2018 18:57

Oh god, I wish the ama's would sod off to reddit

PanPanPanPing · 30/06/2018 19:00

I bet the Redditers are laughing their heads off at the current AMA threads?! But, more likely, they CBA to even be bothered!

GladAllOver · 01/07/2018 10:46

I suggested this because I had seen a few quite interesting posts, but there seems to have been a deluge of AMA threads almost overnight.
If they are going to continue then it only strengthen the case for moving them all into one area.

I came on to ask the same

Hi OP,

Thanks for the suggestion!
We're actually watching this thread at the moment.

We said:

"As ever with new topics, we do need to see just how many people would be interested. We'll keep an eye on this thread - if there's enough interest, it'll certainly be considered."
