I sincerely hope not. It strikes me as some inept 'techy' thing (not that I know about techy things - neither inept nor clever!)

People have been reporting it since 10.50 this morning

I only noticed it at 11.30 when I tried to log out. The logging-out didn't happen, because clicking on My Mumsnet did nothing at all - but I had to turn off the laptop anyway (I never allow it to 'remember me').

I tried logging out and in every time a few years back but after 3 times doing that i had a lot of trouble getting back in.

We seem to have techy problems on here every bloody summer You could set your watch by it.

Really slow to load, I have had Chrome shut it down twice 'because the server is not responding' Menu and My Mumsnet buttons not working.

I have been logged out by the site several times today.

i smell another password change and more arsing around circa 2015 coming.
