I've been noticing an increased amount of links to fake sites, specifically on the S&B boards. These are almost always posted by legitimate users trying to genuinely be helpful in finding some rare out of stock item that the OP desperately wants. These sites are essentially fraudulent setups that look like real shops but aren't. If you know what to look for they're easy to spot but plenty still seem to get taken in. If someone is mistakenly taken in there is the potential that it will diminish trust in MN and its users.
I know this isn't the simplest task for MNHQ to tackle as it's a touch more involved than weeding out spam on your own boards but perhaps there can be some kind of sticky/permanently visible link with a helpful guide how to spot a fake site and why not to buy from them on boards where these links pop up? A separate reporting option would be good too?
There's often people starting threads asking whether something is a real or fake site as well, so there's definitely concern and confusion when it comes to this subject.
